Lake Pleasant Tour Hosted by the Maricopa Water District (MWD)
ABWC Treasurer and Coordinator of the Water Management Certificate Program, Glen Vortherms hosted the FFA leaders from 26 different states to Lake Pleasant! As General Manager of the Maricopa Water District, Glen provided an overview of how MWD and Lake Pleasant was created and an in-person look at the new Waddell Dam that you can see today!
ABWC Executive Director, Chris Udall provided an overview of the Agribusiness & Water Council of Arizona and how our organization strives to support our upcoming leaders in water and agriculture. Chris also serves on the Arizona FFA Foundation Board of Trustees to help support all the great work and financial support that this organization creates.
We ended the evening with a great dinner from Dillon's BBQ and great company. Compliments to Chef George!

ABWC proudly supported the Arizona FFA Blue and Gold Gala on February 22nd.
Gary Gold, Policy Advisor to Senator Krysten Sinema and his wife accepted our invitation to share this special event with us. We appreciate being able to support the future ag leaders in Arizona.
